From the rough basalt on the outside, to the high quality rich purple amethyst crystals inside and calcite formation, this piece presents an exquisite combination of minerals on a sculptural journey. The outer layer is the rough basalt and the edges are all polished revelling brown agate, green celadonite and white quartz. All of this frames a very deep purple amethyst formation with glimmering crystals and a beautiful calcite formation. The calcite itself is overlaid with white quartz and has glimpses of black hematite. The natural sculpture is freestanding, and is a stunning, decorative piece.
