EXCEPTIONAL ANGEL FORMATION

One of the finest and most important mineral formations to have appeared from the mines of Artigas. This extraordinary specimen has several large spear shaped calcites, amethyst and goethite at the centre, with very rare epimorphism. The contrast of transparent calcite overlaid with black goethite and amethystine quartz results in a breathtaking aesthetic. With its two prominent wings and large figural calcite structure, the entire specimen has an angelic appearance.
